INTERVIEW WITH BRENDA WIRTH ABOUT "ROSIE'S CAFE"

Rosie's Cafe brings great singer-songwriters to the area in the tradition of house concerts. The monthly show is produced and run by Brenda Wirth. We spoke with Brenda recently about how the series got started, her favorite shows, and who she would love to see be part of a future production.





ROSIE'S CAFE PRESENTS CD RELEASE PARTY FOR GEORGE WIRTH

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Rosie's Cafe plays host to another CD release this month with a special show celebrating the release of George Wirth's latest record. The show takes place at the Atonement Lutheran Church Hall (308 First Avenue) in Asbury Park on Sunday, August 1 at 7pm. Doors are at 6:30pm, admission is a $5 suggestion donation, and free parking is available.





RECAP OF SUNDAY AT XPONENTIAL FESTIVAL 2010

From the first chords of The Great Unknown to the final notes from Robert Randolph and The Family Band, the 2010 XPoNential Music Festival provided an incredible day of music in Camden. This was my first time seeing a show in this city in many, many years and I couldnt stop thinking about how beautiful the waterfront area is and how perfect it was for a music festival. Between the amazing scenery and XPNs excellent track record in spotlighting some of the best indie artists around, this is definitely one of the best festivals in the state.





ELECTRIC SIX READY TO UNLEASH ZODIAC

(Detroit, MI) - There are many things ELECTRIC SIX is known for: awesome singles ("Danger (High Voltage)", "Gay Bar", "Down At McDonnelzz", "Formula 409"), awesome videos ("Body Shot", "Synthesizer"), and a new album every September. And this year, Electric Six will not disappoint. Their seventh studio album "Zodiac" is due out on September 28, 2010 on Metropolis Records and marks a huge evolutionary step for the band.





STRAND THEATRE PRESENTS YOSO

(Lakewood, NJ) STRAND Center for the Arts presents YOSO on Friday, August 13 at 8pm. Formed out of TOTOs brilliant vocalist Bobby Kimball and the creative force of YES members, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood, YOSO does indeed equal the magic of YES with the voice of TOTO. YOSO intends to convince fans of both bands that the brilliance of YOSO will be just as celebrated in the years to come.





THE NEW JERSEY FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FALL 2010 SCHEDULE

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program In Cinema Studies, is proud to present the New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2010 which marks our 29th Anniversary. Showcasing new international films, American independent features, experimental and short subjects, classic revivals, and cutting-edge documentaries, the New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2010 will feature over 50 film screenings. The Festival will run from September 3 through November 4.
